Sara is a fantastic facilitator - her CPD on focusing was concisely presented, well paced providing sufficient depth on theory, with plenty of opportunity to experience focusing and practice the skills learnt. Time was also given to explore creativity in focusing.
I made contact with Sara having been painfully revisited by the fallout from a bereavement that happened fifty years ago. My distress was heightened by self criticism around not getting over it in all that time. Moreover, I have tried in many ways to do so. What the focusing approach led to was a reconnection with my young self and a shared acknowledgement of the trauma she faced, both in the loss and context. It also allowed me to see patterns of behaviour that I developed then which are now unhelpful as my energy diminishes in my later years.
All I can say is that I am unbelievably grateful for Sara's expertise
My Son aged 9 has had 20 sessions with Sara, the progress she had made with him is incredible.
My son had high anxiety issues, low self esteem and anger issues. Even after the first initial meeting, I knew Sara would be the right “fit”. My son thrived on the sessions and by the end of the 20 sessions, his improvement is amazing. Sara has helped massively and will be forever grateful for the work she has done for my family. Would 100% recommend her services.
I had 12 sessions with Sara, from the 1st to 12th I felt so relaxed and understood, Sara really helped me understand myself, her friendly warm welcoming nature really helped me relax helped me to open up much more than I thought I could or would. Sara’s understanding of mental health really helped me to gain control of some confusing historic issues.
I am indebted to Sara for helping me and I will miss her and our weekly seasons very much. Thank you Sara
Sara has made an enormous difference to my 8 year old who was struggling at school due to dyslexia. I have noticed a big increase in her confidence and resilience as well as her ability to vocalise how she is feeling. It has genuinely been a life changing experience and it is worth every penny to see her flourishing again. I believe this has been life changing for her.
Sara’s a fantastic therapist, she introduced me to focusing which was new to me. I really enjoyed the sessions and felt much stronger about managing the things in my life that were so difficult at that time.
Thank you Sara, you have helped me to overcome so much and start believing in myself!
Sara has delivered a series of children’s focusing workshops for our charity, which supports children's mental health. From the outset, Sara’s flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of the service were infallible. Sara has a clear passion for and comprehensive understanding of this technique, alongside a friendly and patient delivery manner that allowed all staff to fully engage in the sessions. Sara offered a holistic service – from sourcing and collation of resources to offering ongoing support for staff through regular practice group sessions. Focusing has become a key part of the services intervention toolkit, with staff feedback positively identifying the outcomes from use with children. We would like to thank Sara for her insight and support.
As an Operations Manager for a charity delivering evidence based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties I was excited to learn about the Children’s Focusing Approach. Sara Bradly was commissioned to deliver training to over 20 staff. The feedback from the team was powerful. This has now become a core part of our offer and with the opportunity to purchase the body maps the team have used the skills to support children to identify their emotions and give them an alternative way to talk about how they feel, what makes them feel that way and begin to develop skills to manage their emotions and feel more safe and contained, promoting resilience and emotional growth. We are looking forward to continuing the teams development with Sara Bradly both for our current practitioners but also for all new staff.
Very relaxed, outlines and content were clear from the beginning.
Very hands on training. Sara was very good. She made the workshop fun and I will definitely be using this process in my practice.
Was honest and real. Gave me a new perspective on Focusing through the use of visual tools. Thank you.
The model is fantastic!
I liked the pace, time to talk and ask questions. I loved the content of the course, the theory behind it and the practice. Can’t wait to try it out. It was brilliant. Thank you Sara!
[I liked} Learning about Focusing and applying it to children, using triads to put it into practice and using it as a tool to help children talk about their feelings.
Open, safe, knowledgable - Sara clearly knew the model and had used it a lot. The case examples were really helpful. I could ask any question and never felt judged. Also, I’ve never worked in triads, big fan now!
[I liked] the [workshop] content and delivery. The in-depth knowledge and experience of the facilitator alongside an energetic passion. Very interactive and engaging. Use of powerpoint was very informative and design was engaging. Brilliant training on a therapeutic model we can use in practice straightaway! Very powerful - was brilliant to try this out for ourselves and see the power for the children we work with.
Fascinating subject I hadn’t explored previously. I enjoyed the experiential elements which backed up the theory. Sara was very knowledgable and engaging. She made me feel comfortable about asking questions. An interesting way of working with children.
The experiential part of the workshop was empowering and fab learning content. Presentation was informative and not dull! Another workshop please!
Clear, sensitive, compassionate, informed, passionate delivery of powerful material. [What I liked about the workshop:] To experience the process first hand, to be supported to navigate difficult feelings to a place of resolution. The containment and sensitivity in which the workshop was delivered. I would happily have extended the day and had more time to process the experience.
Relaxed and calm atmosphere, lots of practical engagement, theory and practice - appreciated the equal amounts, very engaging trainer - it’s been lovely to learn from you.
I enjoyed [the workshop]. I found the practical experience really helpful. I think the visualizing of emotions is very helpful. It has given me some great ideas of what I can use in sessions with children. Delivery was great and it was a good mix of powerpoint and practical.
Having never had any counselling before, I was really nervous about starting. But I can honestly say, from the first moment I met Sara, she made me feel at ease with her gentle voice and calm, accepting manner. The work that we did together was so helpful and enabled me to make changes in my life which I didn’t even realise were an option!
